Welcome to Gellyburn Cottage
Hello! I’m Melanie, and I’m delighted to welcome you to our family farm just outside Kinross. I share the farm with my husband Stewart, our daughters Sophie and Abbey, and my mum, Heather. Farming is at the heart of our family—Stewart and his father have devoted decades to this land, and it’s a true labour of love.
We built Gellyburn Cottage in 2015, and since then it has been the backdrop to countless happy memories. Stewart now runs the farm full-time, while I work locally with a Christmas tree business. After years in hotel management, I was thrilled to refresh the farmhouse and open it to guests like you!
As this is a working farm, there’s always something happening, especially during lambing season—one of my favourite times of year. Pets are very welcome, and the enclosed garden provides a safe space for them to play.
You’ll may also meet our lively household of Border Collies, Jax and Seamus; our Pug, Parker; curious cats Ozzy and Lola; our Welsh Cob, Del Boy; and our goats and geese wandering the farm. We hope your stay at Gellyburn Cottage is filled with comfort, relaxation, and wonderful memories.
